Oases Album Released + Reason Prize Draw

I’m often asked if, in the midst of a career creating sounds for others, I find time to create music myself. The truth is I do find time, but it is difficult. Sometimes I’ll be inspired and creating a new sound, and I’ll have to make the tough decision whether to continue to work on a song around the sound – or to finish off the sound and move on to the next one. So the life of a sound designer and a songwriter is a balancing act indeed!

With that said, even as I’ve written music since the mid-90s, today I’m releasing my first album – Oases. In the spirit of the season, I release the album with a humble heart – the album is 100% pay-what-you-want, and yes you can pay $0 if you choose. My main goal with the album is for people to listen to it and enjoy it, nothing more. The release is on Bandcamp, and that means it is available in MP3, FLAC and a variety of other formats.

On the music itself, I would describe it as electronic instrumental downtempo. Of course, most was written in Reason, often Rewired with various VSTs. If you’d like to know more about the album check out the description on the Bandcamp page.

Here are some features available on our new site:

Apply to be a Vendor: Want to sell your soundware product on Nucleus SoundLab?  We’d love to have you!  Just apply right here.  Vendors get all sorts of cool features, read more at the link.

Wish Lists:  Create a list of the products you are interested in, for easy recall later.  Also easily share this lists with others online.  Access all of your Wish Lists from the Account area after you login.

Product Reviews: Leave a review for any product and rate it on a 5-star scale.  These reviews are limited to only verified owners, similar to Amazon’s review system.

Vendor Shops: Now you can easily browse all of the products for a particular brand, with their own customized shop page.  Just click the author name on any product.  You can also use the contact form to directly contact any vendor.  You can also view all vendors in a single page!

Related Products: On the bottom of every product page you’ll now been shown a variety of other products with similar characteristics.

You should also be aware of some other features of the site that have been refined:

Downloading Products: Your download links will never expire, except if they are used more than 10 times.  In that case you can contact us via the support area and we will refresh the links.

Simplified Support: Live chat is back!  Check it out in the bottom-right corner of any page on the site.  Additionally we’ve done away with the overly complex ticket system if you’d like email support.  We want to help as quickly as possible.

Mobile Support: Our site looks and performs much better on mobile devices than ever before.

And finally one caveat to be aware of:

Unfortunately with the new site, old user accounts were not possible to import.  You will need to make a new account.  And if you have made a purchase from our old site, and need to re-download your product for whatever reason you’ll need to contact us via the support area so we can create new download links for you.
